Which movies/shows are free with an annual subscription

I’ve recently purchased an Apple TV 4K which comes with a year’s free subscription to Apple TV. I was told that with this free year’s subscription I should be able to watch movies free of cost. However whichever movie I try and watch, the only options I see are to either rent it for 3,99€ or buy it for a higher amount.

My question thus is, what is the use of the year’s free subscription - because even before I got this subscription I could (and have done so) rented and watched movies.
