mail library issue

Mail Library cannot be read because its format requires a newer version of macOS.

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.15

Did you downgrade the OS?


If not, maybe run the 10.15.4 combo update.

Your Mail Library was updated for that version. It cannot be read by previous versions.

Almost all of the Library-based programs will have similar problems.


You would need to restore your Mail Library from a time before installing that version.

It's possible the Mail Library wasn't updated in .5, but somewhere between .2 and .4. If that is the case, you should be able to use it if you can update to at least that version.


Did you disable getting beta updates?

Is the .1 version you are running the beta version?

You won't be able to install anything if that is the case. You just erase the drive completely and reinstall from Internet Recovery.
