MacBook Pro computer

Suddenly today my keyboard on my MacBook Pro is not allowing me to type in my password. It only lets me type 2 letters and all the other keys do not type anything. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have already turned it off and on again a few times. But the same keys do not do anything. Only one key on the top works, and most of the bottom keys starting with Z work to M, but A to L doesn’t work and only P works on the top. Very sad and don’t know what to do? Does anyone have any information on how I could fix my computer before taking it to get repaired? Thank very much

Meanwhile before you bring it to the Apple Authorised Service Providers to get the keyboard fixed, you can try hooking up an external keyboard and see if it works. If it doesn’t, it’s probably not a keyboard issue.
