I have saved my GB project in .band format to my icloud drive
Have sent .band file through email to my friend who is running the same IOS & GB version
when he tries to open file GB pops up the error as the file cannot be opened- can be damaged
Same error occurs when he sends his project to me, also tried to open those files on mu IPHONE 7, having same error.
what is the proper way of sharing GB project files between IOS devices?

I had this issue too. Please bear in mind, that GarageBand always tries to save, even if you do not make any changes. Therefore version conflicts occur when collaborating.
Do not try to access the file simultaneously. Best to duplicate your file, then share it, and do not open this one anymore, until your friend is finished his work.

I fixed the issue w compressing the folder.
ios versions below 13 does not automatically zip the file. Need some manual process.
now it works fine;)
