Is this a scam?

I received a text onto my phone today.

It stated " Your apple ID has been restricted. To fully restore your services please visit https://apple.com default -data services to confirm your details.?"

There is also a mobile number attached to this.

Could anyone help with this? Thanks

It is a scam.

Did you provide any potentially damaging information to anyone? If yes, you'll need to follow up, for example, with a credit card company, Apple, your bank, etc.

If the App had a free trial that renews into a paid subscription, then neither contacting the App developer nor Apple will do anything to cancel it.

Deleting the App also, does not cancel any associated subscription it may have.

You need to follow the steps here to cancel any associated subscriptions with an App: See or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support

With that said, its unlikely that has anything to do with the message. Those sms scams are generally randomly generated and sent in bulk. There's no real reaosn to believe anyone has your specific number. It was just generated by the software that sends these messages.

No I never gave any information out apart from maybe my email address. I just wondered how they got my mobile number?

I purchased an app on my iPhone. Then I decided to cancel the app.

So I sent a message to the app person to cancel the app and also sent an email to apple as I thought I may be charged for purchasing the app. I never gave any information out , maybe my email address to the app people.
