FaceTime on iPhone 7

FaceTime won’t work. I’m connected with correct phone and email but when I try to call out the camera won’t come on, so screen is black and it may or may not ring once and then it disconnects. I’ve noticed that on the other end of the call it still rings and when they answer it shows black screen but I’ve already been disconnected on my end. Any suggestions? I’ve rebooted, on most current iOS, turned off and back on FaceTime and reset network settings so far. I have no issues with iMessages for the same people so my phone/email are correct also.
