Watch won’t connect

My watch won’t connect to my phone. It keeps saying my phone needs to update in order to connect and there are no available updates?

What iPhone model do you have? WatchOS 6 requires iOS 13 which, in turn, requires at least an iP{hone 6S (not just a 6). See the footnote sat the bottom of;
