Plug in the Flash Drive.

Open iTunes in Mojave or earlier and Music in Catalina.

Go to the iTunes Menu and select Import to Library.

Navigate to the music on the Flash Drive and select Import.

After that, you will need to manually sync the music with your iPhone via USB or use iCloud to share the music with your iPhone.

If you have Catalina on the new Mac, drag the music from the flash drive to the Music app icon and it will be imported. If you are using Mojave or earlier version of Mac OS drag the music to the iTunes app. Then simply turn on iCloud on both the Mac and the iPhone and it will sync the music.

If you do not know how to turn on iCloud please click https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208681 for instructions on each of your devices.
