Account disabled in App Store and I Tunes

I purchased a new iPhone 7 for my daughter and am trying to install an app but it only gives me a message stating that the account is disabled in App Store and ITunes. When Googling the problem, Apple suggests calling Apple support but, of course, I have to schedule an appointment to speak with someone and the earliest available time slot is 6 days from today..... Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
