Problems with the Audible app on iPhone XR regarding the daily New York Times digest, the Washington Post digest, and the Wall Street Journal digest

I am having persistent problems with the Audible app on iPhone XR regarding the daily New York Times digest, the Washington Post digest, and the Wall Street Journal digest. I have called Audible support but was told the staff was unaware of the problem or how to fix it.


Here's the problem. Audible creates a wonderful service. It provides the daily New York Times digest, the Washington Post digest, and the Wall Street Journal digest. These are anywhere to an hour to an hour and a half long.


On my iPhone 8 the app works wonderfully and every morning the day's new version appear ready for download.


On my father's iPhone XR, the new ones do not appear. He can view and listen to older ones but not today's.


He has a great internet signal. He has tried turning the phone off and on. He has tried deleting and reinstalling the app. All to no avail. Any suggestions?

Reset "Networking settings"

Go to Settings > General > Reset > Networking setting
