Ethernet for iPad Mini
Does anyone know what connector I need to connect my iPad mini to Ethernet? I'm looking into switching from WiFi to Ethernet, and I'm not sure what connector I need to do so
iPad mini, iOS 11

I finally got the pieces yesterday, but when I tried it out, a message came up that read: "Cannot use device:
The ethernet adaptor requires too much power."
Is there any way to bypass this? Or am I stuck using Wi-Fi since I've got an iPad Mini?
If you bought the 2 adapters suggested by Quickpost, you can add a powered USB hub connected to a wall socket, between the Lightning to USB-Adapter and the USB to ethernet adapter to power it or use the Belkin one I suggested which includes an additional lightning port to power the adapter and the iPad at the same time.
You can use a single adapter: Belkin Ethernet + Power Adapter with Lightning Connector - Apple
As mentioned, the ethernet option will appear in Settings once the adapter is connected.
There's no option for me to turn Ethernet on, on my iPad, is there something I need to do? Or will those two pieces make that happen no problem?
Hello,
When an ethernet interface is connected to iPad then it will be displayed on the top level of Settings. Are you using the exact adapters I provided links to earlier?
I don't have either piece
Okay, I read about the Belkin one, and it looks like that's my best bet, should have gone with that from the start, but at least I'm dealing with it now
