4k external monitor resolution issues

Using an external 4k monitor on a Mac mini 2018 running Mojave. When I scale my Ui to the largest setting on display preferences according to system profiler my native resolution goes down to 1440p. Is there a way to fix this besides scaling it back to a smaller setting?

Mac mini, macOS 10.14

In System Preferences -> Displays

Hold the Option key, and click on "Scaled"

There are utilities that can manipulate your external monitor to a greater degree

RDM

or

brew cask install --appdir="/Applications" avibrazil-rdm
