Finder windows with searches not shown at finder icon window list

Hi,

I do not know if it is a bug or feature...

Running Catalina 10.15.4 in an iMac Retina

If I have several finder windows (with file listings) open, they all show up when I

right click the Finder dock icon in the top open window list.

As it should be.

But if I make a search in one finder windows - either on a local drive or a remote,

mounted volume - that file windows is deleted from that open windows list.

After I close the search, that file window reappears in the open window list.

Is that as it should be?

It must be a problem on my side. After I checked with a clean Catalina Install, it worked as you described it.

Well, my OS went through two mayor updates, maybe its time for a clean install... :)

Case Closed.

thanks,

Claus
