I recommend you get a new email address and use the steps in the article below to do a name change on your current Apple ID. If you create/use a new Apple ID, you will lose access to some of your data and the purchases made with your existing Apple ID.

Modify it Over-the-Phone:

Do you already have an Apple Account, but just cannot log in being that you ave rid of that eMail address? If that is the case, then contact Apple Support, and have them modify it over the phone. Be sure to perform a trial-and-error log in session, before ending the call.

• Proceed from there as Necessary

Apple does that over the phone? I'd hope they'd require some security measures - were you able to do that?

interesting as that would be a one shot special deal or you own a lot of Apple stock, LOL. Changing an email address = changing your Apple ID since that IS an email address. Apple's instructions are in Eric's post so it is best to use those.

Since the old one is not available, there is nothing to change. So, you'll just need to:

Create a new Apple ID https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204316.
