Wich cable do I need to use my iMac 2010 (Mini Displayport) as an external monitor with my MacBook pro 2011 (Thunderbolt / Thunderbolt 2)

If you have a 27-inch iMac with a Mini DisplayPort, any other Mac with a Mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt port you can use it as a display. Make sure you have a Mini DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort cable.
