Sim/Geo-locked iPhone?

Hi.

I don’t know if this is the right place to ask my question but I will try anyway.

I am currently stuck here in Canada due to Covid-19 and I desperately need a new phone, so I want to buy an iPhone 11. If I then buy a phone here in Canada will there then be some kind of Sim-lock/Geo-lock that would prevent me from using my phone when I get back to Europe, more specifically Denmark?

If you purchase a new phone in Canada, you will most likely want to buy it from Apple directly and make sure the phone you buy is totally carrier unlocked. I don't how they sell them in Canada, but I imagine it may mirror sales in the US in that to buy a fully unlocked phone from Apple in the US, you pay for it up front.

You should also know that iPhone warranty is NOT international. Once you return to Denmark, should you have a warranty issue with your phone, you'll need to bring it back to Canada for service. But you can certainly get an unlocked phone, which should work just fine in Denmark.
