Earbuds not working

I have IPhone 7. Recently when I try to use my non Apple earbuds for phone calls I can hear people but they can’t hear me. I use the same earbuds with my computer for video calls and they work fine. When I use the hard earbuds that came with the phone and I can hear people and they can hear me. It is not the little connecter device because I have used other people’s connector and have the same problem. I’m stumped. Please help.. I need the phone more for work and those hard Apple earbuds are terrible. I really don’t want to invest in cordless because when things get back to normal with work I won’t be using my phone hardly at all.

iPhone 7, iOS 13

Hello,

Check the charging port for lint or other debris and see this:

If your headphones don‘t work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Good luck.
