Being forced to install Catalina after erase to factory setting.

Hello, I got a new macbook pro, and for work purposes can not install Catalina. Every time I try Shift-Option-⌘-R, I am prompted to install only Catalina. Is there any other way to get an alternate option of OS to install? Erase disk images? Ive already erased Internal SSD, but I still have yet to erase Disk Images.

Thanks!

Sorry, but newly purchased models cannot run versions of macOS earlier than Catalina. Furthermore, Apple only permits upgrades to the most current version of macOS that is compatible with your model. In your case, that is Catalina.
