New MacBook Pro battery condition replaced now

Just received my new 13” MacBook Pro and got it out of the box and plugged it in. It powered on but the battery is not charging and it says that battery condition replaced now


trying to find out something I can do before I take it back to best buy

If you just got it, I would not try anything before taking it back. You only have 14 days for a no-questions-ask refund so I would not waste time trying to fix something that appears to be a factory fault.
