Having trouble resetting smc and nvram on MacBook Pro 2017 model.

My Macbook Pro 2017 13-inch built-in keyboard randomly stopped responding (only the power button is working normally). Once I connected an external Windows keyboard, I managed to log in. I was told the next step is to rest my SMC or NVRAM and I am having a lot of trouble with it. Is it Command+Option+P+R? I am clicking it right after I turn my Mac on and nothing seems to happen. Is there maybe another way to handle this issue?

This is what I see when I log in

Hi, evyatar16, maybe I can help you.....

it used to be Command+Option+P+R but things have changed a bit, due to the new T2 chip Apple puts in.

here's how to do that---link..........

that should get you the smc reset.

the nvram (or pram zap) is the same. with the windows symbol on the keyboard taking the place of the Apple or command key, and alt key is the same as options. (link)

your login screenshot looks relatively ok. Macbook Pro's don't have a built in cd/dvd drive so that's it.
