Will Intel-based MacBooks be neglected

I’m considering purchasing the 2020 MacBook Pro 13 (intel chipset). However, I’m concerned that after a few years it will stop receiving software updates, optimised apps, and software support - because Apple will be focussing devices containing their new chip. Do you know if current MacBooks will continue to be fully supported in years to come, even after Apple has fully transitioned to it’s new chip?

Thank you.
