Is there an effective way to block spam text messages. I have message filtering turned on, but it's only effective about 50% of the time. Mostly they are from phone numbers, but sometimes they are coming from some weird email address. It seems like I'm blocking half a dozen (or more) numbers every day.
And is there someone to report them?

You can report the ones that come from phone numbers by forwarding them to 7726 (SPAM). Your carrier will deal with it from there. Unfortunately, they numbers are probably being faked. Your carrier can't do anything about the ones that come from email addresses.

ATT may not be able to do anything about fake numbers, but at least I'll get a little bit of emotional satisfaction by forwarding them.😉
It is quite satisfying and, perhaps the carriers have a way of finding out who is behind the fake numbers. That's what I keep hoping.
