  1. Sign in to appleid.apple.com
  2. Go to the “Security” section. Then click “Edit” if you are using a desktop browser.
  3. Tap on "Turn Off Two-Factor Authentication".

Can't find the option to turn off two-factor authentication?

Apple removed the option to turn off two-factor authentication on some Apple IDs created in iOS 10.3 or macOS 10.12.4 and later.

In such a case, you have three options:

  • If you recently enabled two-factor authentication, however, you can unenroll for a period of two weeks. Just open your enrollment confirmation email and click the link to return to your previous security settings.
  • Contact Apple support and ask them to disable two-factor authentication for you.
  • Register a New iCloud ID on Apple website and change the iCloud ID on the iPhone. (You can keep the old Apple ID for App Store on the iPhone)

Thanks

You can’t disable it, except during the 2 weeks after you enabled it. When you create a new Apple ID is will automatically set up 2FA, it’s now a requirement of having an Apple ID. If you had an Apple ID that does not have 2FA you are not required to add it, however, a number of Apple services will be disabled.

And it has nothing to do with iOS 13, 2 factor authentication protects your Apple ID, not your phone.

You mean this part:

If you already use two-factor authentication, you can no longer turn it off. Certain features in the latest versions of iOS and macOS require this extra level of security, which is designed to protect your information. If you recently updated your account, you can unenroll within two weeks of enrollment. Just open your enrollment confirmation email and click the link to return to your previous security settings. Keep in mind, this makes your account less secure and means that you can't use features that require higher security.
