Apple Airport Extreme and xFi connection

My Apple Airport Extreme has worked fine for years with Comcast. We got upgraded to xFi and now my AAE just flashes a yellow light. It doesn't see the internet. I can log into it with Airport Utility and see all the options, but no internet. Been working with Clowncast. Had them put the xFi into bridge mode but that didn't do anything. I set up the AAE at another house, had the green light, and it was ripping on the internet. Brought it to my house....flashing yellow. Anyone with insight? Thank you!

A persistent, flashing amber light indicates that any of the these potential conditions may require your attention:

1. The base station has not yet been configured because it is new, or it has been reset.

2. You have selected a security configuration that is not recommended.

3. A new firmware update is available for the base station.

4. One of several other conditions, such as a disconnected Ethernet cable or invalid IP address has been detected.

To find out why your base station's status LED is flashing amber:

• Open AirPort Utility

• Click on the AirPort base station

• Look for a Status setting in the small window that appears. Note: Status only appears if there is an issue or notification.

Click on the small amber dot there and another window will open to explain what the "issue" might be.

Meh. Should have also add I've been dealing w/ Apple Equipment since the Apple IIe. Not new to the rodeo. And I found the answer. The NEW xFi Modem/Router does not come with a WAN port, only 4 LAN ports. I was told by the Comcast Trouble Shooting Rep that they are interchangable. They are not. So, if you upgrade w/ Clowncast, note that you can't use your own AAE wireless router. On a side note, I ordered a personal modem to use and am returning the equipment.
