I bought a Macbook Air a week back in India and since an hour back the lod wont shut close. It pops up open by half an inch . Very disappointed that this has happened to a brand new product.
Can anyone please help me in this regard?

I bought it from an Apple authorized reseller in India
the vendor told me to contact the Apple Authorized Service centre
Unfortunately its closed right now so I will contact them tomorrow
but I am just afraid about the fact that there are rumors that in India this policy of replacement within 14 days doesn not hold good
You are most likely within the return window, so you should be able to simply return the computer in exchange for a new one. Else, contact Apple.

Assuming you bought from apple or an Apple authorized seller, it should. First step is to contact the vendor from whom you bought the computer.
