Hi mrsrv007,

It sounds like you're having some trouble downloading data needed on your device and we can help.

Have you tried using a different Wi-Fi?

Do you get an error? If yes, what does it say?

Try resetting your network settings and then re-connecting to known good Wi-Fi.

To reset network settings go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

Let us know what happens.

Hi mrsrv007,

You can contact Apple for support with the info here:

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

While service does vary by region, if you contact Apple Support they should be able to tell you if it's possible to support the model you have where you're currently located.

Good luck.
