How do I edit "From" addresses in new email?

If you have multiple accounts, the From popup menu button appears in the new message window and you can select one of the other addresses. If you only have one SMTP server set up, you won't see the From popup menu.

Thank you for responding so quickly.

Your info is good but did not answer my question.


Somehow my Gmail account ended up having two names associated with it as options in a new email “from” pop-up menu.


The only way I could get rid of the rogue name , I discovered, was to go to the Mail accounts window, find where the second name was attached in the gmail account listing, highlight it and push the “ - “ sign to delete it.


It took some searching but It was successful.
