I want to capture live video with FCPX - but external camera not listed

I have an external camera capture device (Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro) plugged into to my MacBook Pro thunderbolt that streams my DSLR. No problem. This is is detected as a "webcam" by Zoom and by QT Player and pretty much everything else. So why isn't it listed in my Media Import/Cameras list in Final Cut? The only one camera listed is my Built-in FaceTime Camera. Is there some way to configure this to work?

MacBook Pro 15”, macOS 10.15
