Need to charge Macbook Air from external monitor

I recently got a ThinkVision T22i 21.5" Monitor to work from home and want to connect with my MacBook Air (2020 model). I have a USB-C to DisplayPort cable that connects the two for display but this doesn't charge my laptop.

As I'm also using a USB-C to USB adaptor in the one of the two ports, I can't have both my charger and monitor connected.

Can anyone advise what I need to connect & charge from the monitor?

You could use a Thunderbolt 3 Dock, such as:

https://www.elgato.com/en/dock/thunderbolt-3

It will charge your MacBook Air and provide ports for your display and USB devices. It will even charge USB devices when the computer is off. It is expensive, though.

For less money you could use a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable, such as:

https://www.startech.com/Cables/Audio-Video/DisplayPort/1m-White-Mini-DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort-Adapter-Cable-Male-to-Male~MDP2DPMM1MW

with a UPTab USB-C to Mini DisplayPort Adapter.

https://www.uptab.com/usb-c-to-mini-displayport-adapter-4k-60hz-graphite/

This adapter has an extra charging-only USB-C port to connect your charger, so one USB-C port on the computer is used both for the display and charging.
