iPad

So my every-time my dad’s iPad needs an update it goes through this long process of restarting its self unless you know the activation lock password. Which in this case we don’t know what it is. I’ve tried putting in his Apple ID password and that won’t work. So my question is how am I suppose to get past the activation lock screen without having to do a hard reset or something.

To unlock the Activation Lock you must enter the Apple ID and Password of the original owner who set the lock. This is a theft prevention feature. See these links...
