Hello LEE 3103,

Custom keystrokes can make a huge difference when they work as expected. Since the custom keystrokes you've created aren't responding as intended, we'll be glad to offer some tips to help you identify what it causing the conflict.

First, when you encounter this issue is Word in the foreground on your Mac? If not, then the keystroke may be executing in the macOS rather than the Word app. To determine if this is the case, check the upper left corner of your display, and if you see Word in bold, then try the command you created.

If it opens the Terminal window, then we recommend following this guide to pinpoint the root cause so you can revise your custom keystrokes to work as intended: If a keyboard shortcut doesn’t work on Mac

If you continue to encounter a snag, let us know which keystroke combinations you're using so we can dig into this further.

Cheers!
