When reporting an issue on Apple Maps it can take a long time for it to be updated. I submitted a couple once and it was over a year before it was updated. I don't know the full process but there are things they have to verify and check rather than just take every request and make the change.

Well, I think that Apple is using TomTom services for Maps in iOS devices, so when they receive a request they pass that request to TomTom developer teams, and that update should appear during an iOS update. But yes, it might take a bit of time.
