AirPlay icon not visible in Macbook Air

Hi Folks

I am facing issues in locating the airplay icon in my macbook air. I have upgraded the OS to catalina 10.15.6 still the airplay icon nowhere to be seen.

I tried going to system preferences but that also did not help as the air play display is by default set to off there and there is no option to turn it on.

Can anybody please help?

Regards

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

In System Preferences, under Display - If you click on OFF and nothing happens then there are no AirPlay devices available on the same WiFi Network as the MacBook Air. When there are AirPlay devices available then you will be able to see them once you click on the down arrow next to OFF. See image below-
