Boot Camp stuck on partitioning step

I have a Late 2015 5K iMac running Catalina 10.15.6. I’m trying to use Boot Camp to set up a partition for Windows 10 build 2004.

Boot Camp Assistant works until the partitioning step. The bar was roughly half full for about four hours. People in other threads seem to think this step should only take a few minutes. I force quit Boot Camp Assistant and checked Disk Utility, but no partition had even been started.

Any thoughts?

Update: I left it on this step overnight at it worked. If you’re having the same issue, it might resolve after a few hours.
