Apple Watch Question

If I connect my iPhone to my Apple Watch and I don’t have cellular on my iPhone but I have cellular on my Apple Watch would I still be able to make calls if I am away from my phone?

Check the top for a SIM..

You can only FaceTime and FT Audio w/ out SIM. Yes, you will need a sim card, check to see if the phone is GSM or CDMA to find capable networks.

(icloud eMails can only text and facetime. No calling, as you’d need some form of a landline or a SIM linked)

Also what iPhone model is this, you may need a SIM card adapter if it’s older (I think iPhone 4 and below..)

I gave my daughter my old iPhone and it had my old SIM card, but she doesn’t have a phone number, she has a email to text instead. So basically you are saying that I would need to get her a new SIM card with a phone number and a data plan in order for the Apple Watch with cellular to work?
