Repeated notification for "AppleID and phone number now being used"

I keep on getting random “AppleID and phone number now being used for iMessage on a new Mac” prompts on my iPad. I’m running latest macOS on Mac and have firewall enabled and remote mgt disabled. How can I tell if my AppleID has been compromised or whether there is a bug? A check of my Apple ID account does not show any additional devices beyond my own collection.

thanks

Since you already checked your account and didn't find anything, as a precaution, change your password.

Apple ID device list -Check to see where you‘re signed in.

 Apple ID Password Change.

What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support     I suggest doing this before you change your Apple ID or password.
