iCloud breach

I got a call from an unknown number stating that my iCloud account has been breached. The person calling asked me to press 1 or 2 for Apple Support. I pressed 1 and was connected to a boiler room. When I heard that, I hung up without giving any information. I was caught off guard. Can I be scammed?

You can only be scammed if you provided personal or financial information to the criminals making the calls.

Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.
