how do I convert a pages document to PDF

You open the Pages document in Pages, and then select File menu : Export To > PDF… . Click the PDF item, and then click Next… . Choose the filename if different than the default, and a save location, before clicking Export. Done.

From the Pages application menu, what does About Pages provide you for a version? If you click once on the document that results from the Export process that I described, and then press option+command+i, what kind of document is revealed in that information panel? A Pages document, or a PDF Document?
