Hello,
I do not understand what has been happening with my MBP lately. Not only the regular incremental backups are huge, but they also take many, many hours to complete. The attached screenshot is for an external HDD connected to the MBP via USB 3.0. The Time Capsule backups take way longer.
Any suggestions?

This backup started approximately 28 hours ago!... On previous macOS versions a similar backup would have taken maybe 10-15 minutes.
Time machine backups have been very slow on both the Time Capsule and external HDD drives since upgrading to maOS 10.15.6.
Any suggestions, please?...
