I have a problem connection this to WiFi - no problem with other devices and the Wifi is generally stable.
The Wifi is on but regardless of which visible network I select and input the password Network Preferences just jumps back to 'No Network Selected'.
Any ideas, please?

I resolved this myself by deleting the network preference files and rebooting MacOS.
All is now well.
