airplay

I am trying to get my iPhone XS to airplay to my MacBook. My iPhone sees everything else to connect to. My MacBook sees my iPad with no problem. Both the iPhone and MacBook are on the same wireless network but they refuse to see each other!

MacBook, macOS 10.12

You cannot AirPlay between an iOS device, an iPadOS device and a macOS device. You can use SideCar feature between an iPad Pro and a Mac (Qualifying iPads and MacBooks) however you still cannot use AirPlay between the 3. AirPlay can be used between by one of the above devices when used with AirPlay compatible device which is either an Apple TV or a Television that is AirPlay compatible.
