where are the native photo files located?

Deep within the Photos Library. You're better off not attempting to open it directly due to an evidently overwhelming temptation to alter its contents. That would result in corrupting it.


Native, full resolution photos can always be exported by using the Photos app. You can choose any number of them, or all of them, to export. Choosing "Export Unmodified Original" will accomplish that.
