Can I activate cellular/Internet data on my apple watch without my phone having a cellular plan? Iphone X factory unlocked, it has no carrier. I recently bought and apple watch 5 LTE , I want to know if I can pay a carrier for my watch only.

I have an Iphone X factory unlocked, it has no carrier. I recently bought and apple watch 5 with LTE capabilities, I want to know if I can put an LTE/Internet plan for my watch only, without having to enroll my phone into a carrier. Do any of you guys know what do I need to do to achieve this? Thank you in advance.

“No”, but in more words: the cellular plan for the Watch is associated with and an adjunct to the cellular plan for the iPhone, and is not available separately.

Further, per Apple, keeping the cellular radio on the Watch powered and active will shorten the Watch battery life to ~four or to ~seven hours, for Series 3 and for Series 5, respectively.
