I want the time I enter in iCal to stay as that time, no matter what time zone I am in. For example, if I am in Seattle, and I enter an event for 1:00 PM, I want it to show as 1:00 PM whether I am looking at the event in Seattle, or New York, or Denmark, or India. If I am in New York and enter the time as 1:00 PM, I want it to show as 1:00 PM even when I return to Seattle. In other words, I don't want iCal to ever change the time for me that I enter. How do I do that on my MacBook Pro 10.15.6? How do I do that on my iPhone? I don't understand the instructions under the settings it gives me. It doesn't make any sense, and changes the time zones I enter no matter what I do. Thanks.

According to: Use different time zones in Calendar on Mac - Apple Support

  • To keep the event from moving when you view a different time zone, choose Floating.

When creating a new event on your MacBook Pro, click on "time zone," and select "Floating."

There is no similar option available on iOS/iPadOS/iCloud.com.
