final cut pro and photos library

I upgraded to FCP X and now the photos library does not appear in the photos browser in FCP. I have checked that photos is pulling from the correct library. I use the cloud for photos and don't keep originals on my hard drive. From what I have read this combination will prevent me from seeing my photos library. If this is true, does anyone know how to fix it other than taking the photos out of the cloud? This makes no sense at all. The only workarounds I can think of is to either find each photo i want in my movie in the photos library or create a timeline of photos in imovie and send it as a video file to FCP.

Yes. It’s true. All media used in the application has to be stored locally. It cannot be accessed from cloud storage.
