Sound and Haptics stoped working suddenly.


About every other day, the phone's sound and haptics just stop working. When I press the volume switches, the slider appears, but usually around 10 seconds later. Toggling haptics or sounds doesn't trigger them. About 50% percent of the time a hard reset will fix the issue, but it comes back, even when I do a completely clean install from iTunes. Other symptoms: anything requiring audio (like YouTube, Music, Podcasts, etc.) won't run during these "lag" sessions.


Anyone have clues as to what's going on?

Hi, you can download the latest iOS software update, go to Settings > General > Software Update.


If the issue persists, you need to restore your phone as new:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings


Still not working? You can take your phone to an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service provider. You can book an appointment on getsupport.apple.com or use the Apple Support app.
