My macbook pro has a touchbar but doesnt have a light ... but if you press it randomly its working.. but cant see the shortcuts.. pls help

Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
if no success, continue resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

My touch bar doesnt have light but if you press it something happens.. how do i turn the light of yhe touch bar
