Unable to re-download iMovie on MacBook after updating.

I recently updated my MacBook Air (2017) to 10.13.6 as it is the newest version available to me. To be able to do this update I had to uninstall and delete quite a few things and I didn't realise but I deleted iMovie. When I try to reinstall it in the App Store I am unable to as it says I need to have updated to 10.15.6 or later although I am unable to. I really need to reinstall it as I use it every now and then for editing things so if anyone has any way to be able to download the newest version available for my computer that'd be great. Thanks.

Hi, felicity3,

Try this procedure:

To update/redownload iMovie 10, drag your

iMovie 10 app from the Applications folder into the trash, but do not empty the

trash. (You can skip that step since you deleted iMovie 10 on your computer.)

Sign in to the app store and open your purchases folder by

clicking on your name at the bottom of the app store side bar. You will see your purchases

displayed, including iMovie 10. Redownload/update iMovie from there. If not

successful, drag your present iMovie app out of the trash (if you moved it

there) and return it to the Applications folder.
