Scaling windows on extended displays beyond 1 monitor. Is this a setting?

On old Mac Pro, extended displays allowed a virtually larger display allowing to enlarge a window between more than one monitor. With Mac mini 2020, it's running independent monitors without allowing scaling beyond 1 monitor. Is this a setting?

Found the answer. In order to for a window to use more than one monitor the required setting is in Mission Control.

System Preferences -> Mission Control -> <uncheck> "Group windows by application"
