Should I fix my cracked camera before trading in my iPhone?

I want to buy a new phone and trade in my XR, but there is a crack in the camera. I do have apple care so my question would I save money trading in my phone with the cracked camera or fixing it then trading it in.

Hi,

I have the same question as above. Only do I want to trade in my iPhone 11 for the new 12 pro. Shall I do that with a cracked camera or first have it fixed via apple care and then trade in the brand new phone? I understand that my old 11 will be completely replaced if I use apple care.... so the question is, does this really make sense to first send it in, receive the new 11 and then trade it in?

Thank you.

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities kacie8800,

We see that you have a question about trading in your iPhone that has a crack on the camera. We'd be happy to provide you with some information to help answer your question.

We have provided two articles below so that you can compare your options and see which would be best for you. The first one provides the amount that you could receive for a trade-in and the second provides prices for repairs with AppleCare.
